Hello friends! Welcome to Wildflour Farmhouse!
My name is Danelle and I am a wife, mom, baker and a city girl who just moved to the country.
My family and I live in a small town in Ohio that is known for its country charm, Amish craftsmanship and homestyle cooking. Right down the road from the local icecream shop is our 1850s white farmhouse with a rusty old tire swing hanging from a walnut tree and acres of cornfields, with cows every which way.
Our farmhouse was down to the studs when we first saw it. It needs a lot of tender loving care, but I immediately knew this was the place I wanted to see my kids climb trees, where I wanted to rock on a swing with my husband and where I could call our home. I saw the potential of what this farmhouse and 5 acre property could be.
Now that I live in the country I spend most of my time baking, keeping up with my kids and putting my love for design and renovating into my farmhouse.
It can be hectic at times, but more often peaceful and inspirational.
I started this blog in 2021 to share my journey of renovating our farmhouse, living the farm life and my love for all things sweet.
I welcome you to join my family and I on our journey to turn our 1850s farmhouse into a home.
